In the National Catholic Register in an article by Mary Rezak, she discusses the message of Archbishop Gomez at the Catholic Associate of Latino Leaders (CALL) meeting in Houston. He speaks of brief and simplistic form in which Jesus spoke. The parables are a little harder for us to get in our day and age, but our imagery is different. Jesus spoke to the people in terms that were familiar to them in their times. Even Archbishop Gomez and Pope Francis have a Facebook Page and a Twitter account. The hot topic of the day is the financial shake-up at the Vatican.
